We believe that, and research supports it.
At All Saints School, children learn through playful exploration facilitated by passionate, caring teachers. Our curriculum is child-centered with open classrooms that provide choice and autonomy. We value outdoor play both on our playground and in our Outdoor Classroom, which provide children opportunities for social and motor development as well as sensory exploration with sand, water, mud, bubbles, shaving cream and more!
Our objective is for children to LOVE learning and the process of acquiring new information. We want children to see themselves as lifelong learners and to be passionate about asking questions and finding answers. Our teachers create a culture of inquiry by encouraging children to take risks, ask questions, and feel confident creating new ideas and objects.
Each child is unique with their own special gifts, deficits, interests, and passions. Our experienced staff sets goals for individual children and provides learning activities that harness their interests according to best developmentally-appropriate practices.
We incorporate spirituality into the lives of our children by the way we nurture them. Developing trust and confidence and consistently meeting a child's needs in a loving fashion are the beginning of building their faith in God.
We make prayer an important part of each day in every classroom. Christian values and principles, as well as stories from the Bible are incorporated in our day-to-day in various ways. On Wednesdays, Older Twos, Threes, Pre-K and Kindergarten classes attend Chapel where they are lead in song by Ms. Jennifer, participate as acolytes (Pre-K and Kindergarteners), and learn stories from the Bible taught by Rev. Lo. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend Chapel with their Little Saint(s)!
