Older 2's News!

Dear Parents,

The last month of school is upon us! The next few weeks will fly by as we wrap up our school year. April kept us very busy and messy as we learned about weather. The children talked about their favorite and least favorite weather in circle time discussions and decorated our classroom with tape rainbows and "bright and sparkly" lightning. All of the children have shown such growth in their vocabulary and tried out all kinds of new words to describe our daily weather.

And April showers bring May flowers! This month's theme is "Bugs and Blooms". We will plant seeds and take care of them daily. We will also be going on a few bug hunts around the school and church to see what we can find and identify.

Between water days and the outdoor classroom, we have been getting soaking wet every day! Please send your child to school in their swim suit with a change of clothes in their backpack. We will have water tables, sprinklers, ice tables, soapy bubbles and paint trays set up on the playground, as well as in the outdoor classroom. If you have an old towel to donate to the classroom, we would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you all so much for the sweet class gifts celebrating Victoria's new baby and my engagement. We feel so blessed to be so loved by you all!

Lastly, our final day of school is Tuesday, May 23rd. Dismissal is at noon and there will be no aftercare.

We have enjoyed spending this year with each of your little saints. We will miss their smiling faces and sweet hearts so much next year. Thank you for trusting us with your child’s growth and development for this year. It has been wonderful.  We love you all.
